The Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue 5, Crescent Beach was integral to the running of our Head of the Nicomekl Regatta last Saturday. There were a lot of motorized boats out for a lovely sunny, warm Saturday cruise and your crew were so respectful and professional in their interaction with the public. It was impressive.

The amazing inaugural DUCKTONA 5000 was held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Crescent Beach Pier – Crescent Beach, BC. We are now preparing this years race. Contact us for sponsorship opportunities. The Winning Duck wins $1000 CASH with other great prizes for ALL top ducks.

RCMSAR 5 assists local sailboaters
On December 20th. 2018 sailboats moored at the end of the White Rock Pier were wrecked by a huge winter storm. Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Station 5 Crescent Beach assisted the Waterline Sailing Cooperative in recovering their equipment which was stranded on the now inaccessable dock.

A person was rescued on White Rock Pier after powerful winds cut the popular structure in half on Dec.20, 2018.
RCMSAR 5 crews were on scene when Victoria Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre deployed a #SAR Cormorant to hoist one person from White Rock Pier who was stranded after pier broke apart. Hoist successful, person safe.
